Welcome to Biteroute
Himalayan Dumplings and Ramen Bar was born out of a passion for authentic Asian cuisine and a desire to bring these beloved dishes to Portugal, An European Country. Our founders, inspired by their travels across Asia, decided to create a cozy eatery where locals and visitors alike could enjoy high-quality, affordable dumplings and Ramen. We take pride in using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods to ensure every dish we serve is a delicious and delightful experience. We are currently serving at three convenient locations in Lisbon: R. Fernando Lopes Graça 28, Av. Alm. Reis 121 B, and Moscavide, Near Metro. In the coming days, we plan to expand our branches and offer franchising opportunities to partners.

The Majestic Himalayas
The Himalayas, often referred to as the "Roof of the World," is a majestic mountain range in South Asia, spanning five countries: Tibet, Bhutan, China, India, and Nepal. These towering peaks are not only known for their breathtaking natural beauty but also for their rich cultural significance, especially in Nepal. Home to Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, the Himalayas hold a special place in the hearts of the Nepali people. The region's diverse landscapes and cultures have inspired countless legends and traditions, influencing the flavors and culinary practices we bring to you at Himalayan Dumplings and Ramen Bar.
The Story of Dumplings
Dumplings have a long and storied history that dates back over a thousand years. They are believed to have originated in China during the Han Dynasty, invented by a Chinese medicine practitioner named Zhang Zhongjing. He created the first dumplings, called "jiaozi," to help ward off frostbite by filling them with mutton, herbs, and warming spices. Over time, dumplings spread across Asia, evolving into various forms and flavors. In Nepal, momo—a type of dumpling—became a beloved street food, filled with ingredients like spiced meats, vegetables, or even cheese, and served with tangy dipping sauces. At our restaurant, we honor this rich heritage by crafting dumplings that pay homage to these traditional recipes.
